University of Alabama Release Form: Please select the correct release form below according to your age on the date of signing the form. Release Forms are due July 22, 2024.
Use this list as a guide for items to bring with you each day of Camp 1831.
If you are under the age of 18, please complete the Under 18 Camp 1831 Release Form. You’ll need to enter in your own information, as well as your parent/guardian name and email address. Once all parties have signed the document, a completed copy will be sent to our office.
f you are 18 years of age or older, please complete the Over Age 18 Camp 1831 Release Form. You’ll enter your own information and after signing, a completed copy will be sent to our office.
Early Move-In 📦
On-Campus
Camp 1831 participants living on campus for Fall 2024 may move-in on Sunday, August 11, 2024, during specified time slots. Details about early move-in will be sent to your crimson email address from Housing and Residential Communities. If you move-in early to your residence hall and do not participate in the Camp 1831 schedule, you will be responsible for the nightly, early move-in fee charged by Housing and Residential Communities.
Please note: Bryant Hall is not available prior to Saturday, August 17. Due to space limitations on campus, HRC cannot provide temporary accommodations in other buildings prior to this date for early activity participants.
Off Campus
If you are not living on campus for Fall 2024, you are responsible for your living arrangements during Camp 1831.
Check-In Details
Bring your Action Card to Check-In at 8:30 a.m. on the first day. You will receive an email prior to your Camp 1831 session with your Check-In Location for Day 1 (August 12 and August 15). Note: Any students who arrive late or miss Check-In must contact First Year Experience at 205-348-8404 immediately. No refunds will be issued.
Parking and Travel Information
If you live on-campus, you should park your car in your residential zone. For students who live off-campus, please visit the Transportation Services site for information about parking and transportation on campus.
Camp 1831 Information
Each session lasts three days and two nights from approximately 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
on Day 1 and Day 2 followed by 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Day 3.
Prepare to Unplug from Devices 🔌
You are encouraged to not use your phone during camp. All cell phones will be put away during Camp 1831 activities so that everyone can be fully engaged.
Attendance at Camp 1831 Activities 🎯
You are expected to be in attendance at all Camp 1831 scheduled activities. If you are not in attendance for Camp 1831 activities or leave early from activities, you will not be able to return to Camp 1831.
Once you register and check-in, you are committing to attend and participate in all Camp 1831 activities. We want you to receive the full benefits of participating in Camp 1831 for the entire time. Please note dinner with family, leaving town and other event conflicts are not considered extenuating circumstances for not participating in all events.
