The Crimson EDGE program is a holistic student success program in the Capstone Center for Student Success that guides students in their transition to The University of Alabama through comprehensive structure, support, and follow-up in their first year. The core of the program consists of personalized academic advising, customized success plans for each student, and intentional connection to academic support and engagement offerings across campus.
Other program components include, but are not limited to:
- Enrollment in compass and/or student success courses
- One-on-one interaction with academic advisors
- Additional assistance from a Peer Advisor
- Registration parties to assist students as they register for spring, summer, and fall classes
- Application support to the Honors College for eligible students after their fall semester
- College Welcome events at the conclusion of the program to serve as an intentional transition into college advising
- Holistic academic advising and additional academic support
- Online advising resource course located in Blackboard LMS
- Weekly advising e-mails from assigned Academic Advisor
- Special workshops and events hosted by the CCSS advising team
- Learning Communities: Business, Engineering, and Nursing
