About Us

The Office of Student Academic Engagement & Advocacy (SAEA) intentionally broadens the impact of student success programming and offers opportunities for engagement with diverse student populations. Our office is home to initiatives that address equity gaps in retention, persistence and graduation. Home to the BRIDGE program, Lucy’s Legacy and Bama Transfers. SAEA programs seek to build community, increase access to resources for students and help students navigate the academic responsibilities of college. All of our programs have multi-level mentoring experiences and opportunities to expand students’ social capital beyond the scope of The University of Alabama.
