The Office of Student Academic Engagement and Advocacy at The University of Alabama is the central hub for Transfer Student Programming, dedicated to supporting transfer students as they transition to life at UA. Whether you're new and seeking guidance, a current student exploring opportunities, or a graduating student needing post-graduation advice, we're here for you. Welcome to UA, where we're committed to supporting you every step of the way.

With over 38,000 students, including 4,325 transfer students and a rich 186-year history, UA offers numerous opportunities to make this campus your home. Choose from 72 undergraduate degree programs, over 500 student organizations, and a legacy of more than 1,000,000 community service hours. While your journey may have started elsewhere, we're thrilled to have you join us.

  • Study Hall
    • Meets every Wednesday from 2pm-5pm in Russell Hall, Room 216. 
  • Transfer Student Week Events
    • Every year, colleges and universities around the nation celebrate National Transfer Student Week. During the week of October 16-20, 2023, Student Academic Engagement and Advocacy will host a series of events to engage and recognize transfer students at The University of Alabama. Transfer Students, come join us for events during this week!

Programs

Outstanding Transfer Student Award

Each year up to two transfer students are chosen who have made extraordinary contributions to The University of Alabama and/or to the community through their academic and extracurricular activities. Sponsored by the UA Chapter of Tau Sigma.

Tau Sigma Honor Society

An academic honor society designed specifically to recognize and promote the academic excellence and involvement of transfer students.
