2025 Session Information
Camp 1831 has two session date options. Session 1 will be August 11-13, 2025, followed by Session 2 on August 14-16, 2025. Those participating in other UA early arrival activities (Sorority Recruitment, Fraternity Recruitment, Honors Action, Million Dollar Band, Biology Bootcamp, BRIDGE, etc.) should check the dates for those activities before registering for Camp 1831. Dates for other activities typically overlap with Camp 1831, preventing participation in both. There are no refunds available for Camp 1831.
Camp 1831 days are generally 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. for Day 1 and Day 2 followed by 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for Day 3. Participation in the full Camp 1831 schedule is a must for this ULTIMATE first-year experience!
Cost and Registration
The cost for Camp 1831 is $175, which includes meals, supplies, a Camp 1831 t-shirt, and activities for participants during the program. Registration is open on a first-come, first-served basis and closes upon reaching capacity or on July 20, 2025.

In order to complete registration, you must be registered for Bama Bound (new student orientation). Once Camp 1831 registration is complete, you will receive a confirmation email to your Crimson email account.
Camp 1831 Scholarships
Camp 1831 Scholarships are awarded to students based on their financial need status and responses to the application questions. Please review the information below to apply for a Camp 1831 Scholarship.
- Please do not complete the Camp 1831 registration process above if you are applying for a Camp 1831 Scholarship.
- The Camp 1831 Scholarship Application closes on June 30, 2025 at noon Central Time. No applications will be accepted after this date.
- If you receive a Camp 1831 Scholarship, the scholarship will cover the cost of the Camp 1831 Registration Fee ($175) for Session 1 on August 11 – 13, 2025.
- For students living on campus for Fall 2025, Camp 1831 offers early move-in for participants at designated times. If you do not participate in the full Camp 1831 schedule, you are subject to be charged a nightly, early move-in fee by Housing and Residential Communities, which you would be responsible for paying in full.
- The results of your Camp 1831 Scholarship Application will be emailed no later than July 15, 2025.
- If you are not awarded a Camp 1831 Scholarship, a spot will be held for you for 7 days after notification to register and pay for Camp 1831. A specific session date is not guaranteed.
