Every year, colleges and universities around the nation celebrate National Transfer Student Week. During the week of October 17 – 21, 2022, FYE will host a series of events to engage and recognize transfer students at The University of Alabama. Stay tuned for what we have planned for Transfer Student Week 2022. The schedule of events will be released September 2022.
Past Transfer Week Events
- Kickoff at the UA Student Center
- What: Join us as we start our annual Transfer Student Week! At this kick-off, you can pick up your official Bama Transfer t-shirt, get a schedule of events, and meet some of the UA Bama Transfers crew!
- Open Student Bowling Night at Bowlero
- What: We’re jumping into Homecoming festivities with a bowling night at Bowlero! This event is open to all UA students. Look out for our Transfer Mentors in their Bama Transfers shirts and join our lane!
- The Transfer Advantage: Leveraging Your Transfer Experience
- What: We have UA faculty and staff who were once UA transfer students themselves! This lunch & learn will feature panel and small group discussions with UA faculty & staff on how to use your transfer experience to land your dream job.
- Day of Service
- What: Our transfer community loves to give back to Tuscaloosa. On this day, we will participate in the UA Homecoming Day of Service. We will spend the day completing a service project that will help the greater Tuscaloosa community. Since Tuscaloosa is your new home, this event will help you give back to your new community!
- Transfer Night at UA vs Florida Volleyball
- What: Let’s cheer on the UA volleyball team together! Come before the game and grab some Bama Transfer merchandise, and then we will all enjoy the match together!
- Involvement 101: Transfer Student Edition
- What: You bring your blanket and your lunch; we’ll bring the involvement opportunities! Meet us on the Quad to learn about the amazing involvement opportunities UA has for transfer students. You will hear from Transfer Mentors and SGA representatives about their campus involvement. We would love to learn about anything you and what you wish to become involved in at UA.
