The Road to Student Success includes a variety of stops including times to experience Direction, Community, and Growth.

Dates: August 8 – 10 or August 11 – 13

Camp 1831 is the ULTIMATE first year experience with a 3-day, 2-night program for you to meet new people, connect with campus mentors, meet faculty and staff, and become comfortable with campus before your first day of classes

Kick Off Dates: August 10 – 12

BRIDGE is a community of undergraduate men of color at The University of Alabama. The BRIDGE experience begins with a 3-day, 2-night kick-off event for first-year students to build community, leverage campus resources, and learn about being a UA student.

Dates: August 14 – 26

Weeks of Welcome (WOW) is a large series of programs hosted by University Programs to help first year and transfer students transition into student life at UA. All events are FREE to attend.

Capstone Center for Student Success Open House is your opportunity to explore CCSS, meet the staff in the center, and learn more about the steps to student success offered at UA.

Location: The University of Alabama Quad

Get on Board Day is a signature event each year where you can learn about the hundreds of organizations and programs available for you to join. If you are interested in joining clubs or just getting free things, be sure to check out Get On Board Day!

New View is a group for first-year, out-of-state women that focuses on building community with women from out of state through social events and fun! Women are paired with a  peer mentor and take part in monthly social events.

Academic Support in the Capstone Center for Student Success provides tutoring, supplemental instruction, and other related services to students. These services include large and small group sessions, review sessions, and drop-in help.

Freshman Forum serves as your opportunity to start your leadership journey at The University of Alabama. Whether this is your first experience with leadership development or you have explored multiple leadership opportunities, Freshman Forum inspires you to unleash the leader within to make a unique and positive impact in the world while developing leadership skills.
