Every year, colleges and universities around the nation celebrate National Transfer Student Week. During the week of October 16-20, 2023, Student Academic Engagement and Advocacy will host a series of events to engage and recognize transfer students at The University of Alabama. Transfer Students, come join us for events during this week!
Transfer Week Events
- Kickoff at the UA Student Center
- What: Join us as we start our annual Transfer Student Week! At this kick-off, you can pick up your GameDay buttons and wristbands and get a schedule of transfer week events.
- Date and Time: October 16 from 11 am-1pm
- Drop -In Headshots & Career Center Overview
- What: Join us at the Career Center to learn more about the resources they offer UA students. Get your professional headshot done for your resume and internship opportunities.
- Date and Time: October 16 from 3 pm-4:45 pm
- Transfer Student Breakfast
- What: Come have some Chick Fil A breakfast with the SAEA staff in Russell Hall Room 206 and learn more about how to get involved or just hang out with other transfers!
- Date and Time: October 17 from 9 am – 11 am
- “Do-Nut” Panic -Study Hall
- What: Stop by Russell Hall Room 238 and study with other transfer students while meeting members of the Transfer Engagement and Academic Mentors (TEAM) while enjoying some Krispy Kreme donuts.
- Date and Time: October 18 from 2 pm – 5 pm
- Transfer Tales
- What: Come share your transfer history with other transfer students and the SAEA staff around the Student Center South Lawn Firepits.
- Date and Time: October 19 from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm
- Tide to Transfer
- What: Join us in John England Hall (ground floor event space) for a prospective transfers and current transfers meet and greet. Future Bama transfers will be on campus to meet YOU. Come have some food and share why you choose UA.
- Date and Time: October 20 from 11:30 am-1:00 pm
