During the initial strategy session with a Student Support Services counselor, the participant and counselor will determine which services are needed or may be helpful in achieving success.

Services offered by the program include:

  • One-on-one and group tutoring
  • Supplemental academic advising
  • Various types of counseling/advising for financial aid, graduate school admission, and personal concerns
  • Free college credit courses: Academic Success, College Writing, Professional Development, MATH 100, and Financial Health and Wellness
  • Graduate School preparation including a free KAPLAN review course
  • Access to a Computer Lab
  • Campus and community cultural events
  • Variety of workshops and seminars for professional and personal development
  • Peer mentoring
  • Student Advisory Board
