Alabama Reach

The Alabama REACH Program serves as a resource hub to help students access the needed services in a supportive environment that allows students the freedom to pursue higher education and successfully matriculate and graduate from college.

The Alabama REACH program provides support to:

  • Current & Former Foster Youth,
  • Legal Orphans
  • Wards of the State
  • Current and Former Kinship /Guardianship Youth
  • Homeless Youth/Students

The Alabama REACH Program is designed to provide students with access to the resources and support that they need to successfully complete a college education.  Students participating in the program have access to:

  • Individualized emotional, academic, financial, and social support
  • Individual meetings with the program coordinator
  • Cultural and academic enrichment opportunities
  • Participate in community service activities and social events
  • A community of peers who understand your situation
  • REACH mentor program

To  apply for the Alabama Reach program prospective or current students should complete an Alabama Reach Application. Applications for REACH Scholars are accepted at any time. The preferred deadline for incoming freshman is March 1st.

Students will not be eligible for services unless they have been accepted for admission and are currently enrolled  UA.
