Major Declaration Plans

Major Declaration Plans feature a customized combination of programs and services for each student

In addition to their CCSS academic advisor, E4S students have the benefit of a customized major declaration plan to support their holistic development and provide them the tools to reach their academic and personal goals in their first year. These plans feature a customized combination of programs and services for each student, a sample of which can include:

  • Academic Support offerings such as coaching, tutoring, skills workshops, or supplemental instruction
  • Pairing with a peer advisor for additional advisement support
  • Early engagement with the UA Career Center
  • Enrollment in student success courses offered through the CCSS or other compass courses offered throughout the colleges
  • Involvement and engagement opportunities through First Year Experience, the Center for Service & Leadership, student organizations, or other campus programs from across Student Life, Academic Affairs, and Community Affairs
  • Participation in campus events such as Week of Welcome, Homecoming, Tide After Dark, community service opportunities, athletic events, and more
  • Online tutorials and resources related to schedule building, registering for classes, and other important first-year skills
  • Semesterly credit hour restrictions
